About the role
Vinova are working exclusively with an EPC who are focusing on renewable energy projects across Australia. We are looking for someone to join the business as an Asset Manager taking control on their portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You’ll be across everything from day-to-day operations and performance tracking to commercial optimisation and stakeholder engagement. It’s a hands-on role that’s ideal for someone who knows how to get the most out of operational assets while keeping compliance, reporting, and financials in order.
What you’ll be doing
- Set up the business Asset Management function
- Managing daily operations for large-scale BESS and solar sites
- Tracking performance and optimising assets for peak performance
- You will own and manage budgets, forecasts and P&L
- Being the main point of contact for AEMO, networks, offtakers, and investors
- Staying on top of NEM rules, compliance, and reporting obligations
- Working with internal O&M teams to manage maintenance and site performance
- Overseeing contracts with OEMs and service providers (LTSA management)
- Reporting on KPIs, availability, output, revenue, and risk
- Supporting new asset integration and helping during commissioning/handover
What we’re looking for
- Engineering or energy-related degree
- 5+ years experience in asset or operations management in utility-scale renewables
- Experience with Battery Storage Assets is beneficial
- Understanding of how FCAS and the NEM work
- Ability to confidently deal with external stakeholders
