Environmental and Development Planner

We are looking for someone to lead on environmental and planning approvals across a diverse and expanding pipeline of renewable energy projects.

You will manage your projects (wind, solar, and battery storage) across multiple states (between NSW, QLD, WA, and VIC). You will significantly elevate your professional profile by managing projects from greenfield development through to operation, offering great exposure and deepening your expertise. The internal visibility and direct impact of your role will empower you to influence strategic decision-making in a dynamic, innovative, and highly respected business.

What is this job role?

Reporting directly to the Head of Planning, Environment, and Stakeholder Relations, your role is to manage the environmental and planning approvals across multiple projects. You will also be expected to support with stakeholder management and engagement, HSE and compliance and coordinate budgets and financial reporting.

Duties

  • Lead environmental approval processes and secure new approvals or amendments to existing approvals, on your dedicated projects).
  • Oversee and project manage specialist consultants.
  • Represent Mint in negotiations and stakeholder engagement, (with a focus on technical stakeholders) ensuring robust relationships and favourable project outcomes.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and strategically influence outcomes to reduce business risk.
  • Active financial cost management and reporting.

What are the skills/experience we are looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in securing environmental and planning approvals and managing EIS processes.
  • Background in renewable energy project development preferred; large-scale infrastructure experience considered.
  • Tertiary qualification in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong project management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership qualities.
