Job Title: Site Safety Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Safety Manager to lead our safety team and oversee the implementation and management of Health, Safety, and Quality frameworks across the business. This critical role is responsible for ensuring that systems and practices are consistently applied, compliant with relevant legislation, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and comply with workplace health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

  • Collaborate across business units to ensure transparent communication and knowledge sharing.

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain Group-wide Health, Safety, and Quality systems.

  • Drive the implementation of safety and quality objectives across operational sites.

  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on Health, Safety, and Quality matters.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies.

  • Conduct site visits to promote safety culture and ensure ongoing system compliance.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate audits, report on safety performance metrics, and facilitate incident investigations.

  • Coach and support employees in risk management, safety planning, and process improvement.

  • Lead and support external audit processes for OH&S and Quality standards.

  • Develop and manage site-specific Safety Programs and ensure alignment with operational goals.

  • Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and provide progress/action plan reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in safety, quality, or a related discipline.

  • Graduate Certificate in Risk Management (or equivalent) preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in safety leadership within a construction, infrastructure, or industrial environment.

  • Proven ability to influence and engage across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Reports to: Project Director

Stakeholder Engagement

  • External: Clients, Contractors, Subcontractors, Regulatory Bodies, Suppliers/Vendors

  • Internal: Commercial Manager, Project Delivery Team, Quantity Surveyor, Finance Team, Site Superintendents
