About the role
You will sit within a highly capable team of commercial, technical and project development professionals, leveraging their expertise while taking ownership of the data centre strategy and opportunity pipeline. Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead origination, feasibility and early-stage development activities, ensuring opportunities are aligned with both market demand and broader business objectives.
This role will require you to operate with a high degree of independence, engaging directly with landowners, developers, infrastructure providers and key partners, while coordinating internal stakeholders across commercial, engineering and delivery functions. You will be central to how the business enters and scales within the data centre market.
Duties
- Drive origination and build a pipeline of data centre opportunities across Australia
- Lead feasibility, development strategy and early-stage project direction
- Shape commercial strategy and support investment decisions at portfolio level
- Engage key external stakeholders to unlock land, partnerships and infrastructure
Skill/experience
- Experience working across the Data Centre/Digital Infrastructure/Energy sector
- Track record effectively developing Data Centre opportunities
- Strong early-stage project development skillset e.g. securing land, feasibility studies, planning and approvals.
- Strong commercial mindset with ability to assess and shape development strategy
- Understanding of Australian planning and approvals landscape
- Notable stakeholder manager with proven ability to operate autonomously and influence internal and external stakeholders
