About the Company

Our client is a growing construction business who are working on large-scale renewable energy projects and infrastructure projects. As they continue to expand their portfolio of major developments, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial function on key projects and drive commercial strategy.

About the Role

We’re looking for a capable Quantity Surveyor to join a growing business delivering large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle – from tendering and estimating through to delivery, cost management, and close-out.

This is a hands-on commercial role where you’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors. You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Tendering

  • First-principles estimating across civil scopes

  • Preparing BOQs and scope breakdowns for EPC bids

  • Supporting tender submissions with cost inputs, clarifications and methodology

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Procuring and administering subcontractor packages

  • Managing variations, claims, EOTs, and contract compliance

  • Cost tracking, forecasting and reporting against budgets

Project Delivery Support

  • Liaising with delivery teams on-site to understand progress and commercial impacts

  • Reporting on cost-to-complete, margin movement, and risk exposure

  • Ensuring all commercial documentation is accurate and up-to-date

About you

  • 4+ years’ experience in a QS or Estimating role, ideally in a T1 or T2 EPC

  • Strong civil experience

  • Excellent estimating ability – BOQs, first-principles, rate build-up

  • Understanding of Australian standard forms of contract (AS4000, GC21, NEC etc.)

  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractor packages concurrently

  • Commercially astute with strong reporting and communication skills
