About the role
Reporting into senior development leadership, you will act as the technical subject matter expert across a portfolio of utility-scale BESS projects. Working closely with Project Managers, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs and external stakeholders, you will ensure technical workstreams are successfully delivered through the pre-FID phase and support the transition into construction.
Duties
- Lead technical workstreams across utility-scale BESS developments
- Create concept designs and define project architecture
- Coordinate transformers, substations and connection infrastructure packages
- Support EPC procurement, technical due diligence and contract reviews
- Review detailed design and Balance of Plant packages from consultants and contractors
- Work closely with grid, transmission and development stakeholders to progress projects through pre-FID activities
Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Development Engineer, Project Engineer or similar within utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Strong understanding of pre-FID development activities across large infrastructure projects
- Experience developing concept designs and technical solutions for utility-scale projects
- Knowledge of grid connections, substations, transformers and power system infrastructure
- Experience reviewing detailed design, Balance of Plant engineering and technical documentation
- Exposure to EPC environments, contractor management and technical due diligence activities
