This role puts you at the centre of delivering a large-scale renewable energy project from the ground up. You will take ownership of site delivery, lead complex construction and commissioning activities, and see the direct impact of your decisions every day on site. With real autonomy and accountability, you will work alongside experienced professionals, manage multiple interfaces, and play a key role in safely delivering critical energy infrastructure that supports Australia’s energy transition.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your experience is trusted, your judgement matters, and your contribution is highly visible through to final handover.
About the role
Vinova are partnering with a leading Australian energy infrastructure organisation to appoint a Construction Manager for a utility-scale renewable energy project.
You will be the principal on-site representative, responsible for end-to-end delivery of construction and commissioning activities. Working closely with project engineers, subcontractors, OEMs and client stakeholders, you will ensure the works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The role combines site leadership, construction management and commissioning coordination, with overall accountability for delivery outcomes.
Duties

Lead and coordinate all site-based construction and commissioning activities

Manage subcontractors, suppliers and OEMs to meet program, quality and commercial requirements

Oversee site logistics, access, sequencing, plant movements and interfaces

Drive construction and commissioning programs and manage risks to schedule and cost

Provide strong HSE leadership and accountability across site activities

Coordinate commissioning, energisation, testing and handover activities

Manage documentation, reporting, defects, and final close-out
Skills and experience
-
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Site Supervisor on complex infrastructure or energy projects

Strong background in civil, electrical or renewable energy construction environments

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors

Experience coordinating commissioning and energisation activities (highly regarded)

Strong understanding of Australian construction, safety and compliance requirements

Trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (highly regarded)

Current White Card and driver’s licence
