Vinova are working with a leading energy business on a landmark, grid-scale project near Adelaide. We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take full site leadership through delivery, ensuring the project lands safely, on time, on budget and to spec. This is a greenfield build and a career-defining opportunity.
The opportunity
- Own day-to-day construction delivery for a large-scale renewable energy project
- Lead contractors and an on-site team, championing a zero-harm safety culture
- Set up and run project controls for cost, schedule, quality and compliance
- Build trusted relationships across contractors, internal engineering and operations, owner’s engineer, and the local community
- Keep stakeholders informed with clear, timely reporting and issue escalation
Key responsibilities
- Lead site HSE: implement policy and procedures, coach safe behaviours, and ensure all staff and contractors are trained and compliant
- Manage D&C contractors: plan works, supervise performance, and hold teams to contractual commitments
- Governance: ensure works meet internal standards, regulatory requirements and community obligations
- Planning and budgeting: develop construction plans across design, quality, resources and procurement; manage variations; keep schedule on track
- Reporting and records: maintain daily logs, progress reports and stage gates to support informed decisions
- Leadership: set role clarity, lift team capability, and embed values that drive delivery outcomes
What you’ll bring
- A technical bachelor’s degree (engineering, construction or similar)
- 10+ years’ construction delivery experience on complex capital projects (A$100m+)
- Proven leadership of site teams and multi-disciplinary contractors
- Successful delivery of major energy infrastructure – ideally utility-scale batteries or transmission substations
- Strong grasp of risk identification, mitigation and stakeholder management
- Bonus points for sharp negotiation skills and an open, structured communication style
