Initially offered as an 18-month day rate contract, there is a genuine opportunity for the contract to extend to 24 months, providing long-term project exposure and continuity.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for administering and managing the contractual aspects of multiple renewable energy construction projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, legal teams, consultants and contractors, you’ll ensure contractual obligations are met, commercial risks are identified early and project outcomes remain aligned with programme and budget objectives.

This is a highly collaborative position requiring someone who is commercially astute, confident managing contractor relationships and capable of navigating complex contractual matters throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare contractual notices, formal correspondence and commercial documentation.

  • Review and assess payment claims, variations and contractor submissions.

  • Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations and project deliverables.

  • Support the assessment and negotiation of commercial claims and variations.

  • Identify contractual risks and work proactively with project teams to develop practical solutions.

  • Maintain accurate contract records, registers and reporting throughout project delivery.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and external consultants.

  • Provide contractual guidance and support to project teams throughout construction.

About you

We’re looking to speak with experienced contracts professionals who enjoy working in fast-paced project environments and can confidently manage the contractual and commercial aspects of major infrastructure delivery.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • 8+ years’ experience within renewable energy generation, major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.

  • Experience working for a renewable energy developer, EPC contractor, principal contractor or major infrastructure organisation.

  • Strong experience administering EPC, D&C or other complex construction contracts.

  • A strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management throughout the construction lifecycle.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear contractual correspondence and documentation.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage across technical, legal and project delivery teams.

  • A proactive mindset, strong commercial judgement and the ability to resolve issues before they impact project outcomes.

What’s on offer

  • Competitive day rate.

  • Initial 18-month contract with a realistic opportunity to extend to 24 months.

  • Hybrid working arrangement based in Sydney.

  • Opportunity to work on utility-scale renewable energy projects from construction through to completion.

  • Join a collaborative team with experienced professionals across engineering, construction and project management.

  • Exposure to complex contract structures that will further strengthen your commercial capability.
