About the role
Vinova are working with a leading business in the data centre sector to hire a Grid Connection Manager based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role will report directly into senior leadership and work closely with development, engineering and program management teams across the organisation.
You will take ownership of grid connection activities across a large portfolio of active projects, managing relationships with TNSPs, DNSPs, AEMO, VicGrid and external consultants. The focus of this position is to accelerate connection outcomes, navigate jurisdictional differences and ensure projects move through the process as efficiently as possible.
This role will suit someone who combines technical understanding with strong commercial instinct and knows how to drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
Duties
- Drive utility and grid connection outcomes across multiple active projects
- Build relationships with TNSPs, DNSPs, AEMO, VicGrid and external partners
- Push projects through complex approval and connection pathways at pace
- Act as the key escalation point between development and delivery teams
Skill/experience
- Experience with utility, grid connection or power infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Australian energy market processes and stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with strong project management capability
- Background within renewables, data centres, utilities or consulting
- Ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously
